Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This policy explains what the Myanmar Market Price mobile app (“MMP”, “the app”) collects, why it collects it, and what you can do about it. It also covers this website.
MMP is published by MEGA ACE LLC. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean MEGA ACE LLC.
The short version
- You can read every price in the app without an account.
- If you do create an account, we store your email address, your display name if you set one, your watchlist, your notification settings, and whether your subscription is active.
- We never store your password. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, which holds your credentials. Our server only checks the sign-in token Firebase issues.
- We never see your payment details. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google. We only store whether your subscription is active and when it expires.
- Our own usage statistics are counts only — how many people opened the app on a given day, how many opened each screen. We do not keep a record of what any individual person did.
- The free version of the app shows ads from Google AdMob. Pro subscribers see no ads at all.
- You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. See Delete Account.
- This website sets no cookies and runs no scripts or analytics, which is why it shows no consent banner.
What we collect
Account information
Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. You can sign in with an email address and password, with Google Sign-In, or continue as a guest. For a signed-in account we store, on our own server:
- Your Firebase user ID — the identifier that links your account to your data.
- Your email address.
- Your display name, if your account has one (Google Sign-In supplies it).
- Which sign-in methods are linked to your account (email, Google), so the app can show them in Settings.
- The dates your account was created, last updated, and last used.
We do not store passwords, password hashes, or any sign-in token. Whether your email address has been verified is read from Firebase each time you use the app; we do not keep our own copy. Google Sign-In accounts arrive already verified.
Guest sessions
If you use the app without signing in, Firebase creates an anonymous account for your device. It has an ID but no email address and no name. This is what lets a guest keep a watchlist and receive notifications. If you later register, the same ID is kept, so your watchlist carries over.
Abandoned guest accounts are deleted automatically after about 30 days of inactivity.
Your watchlist
The items you add to your watchlist (which gold item, currency, or petrol type in which region) are stored against your account so they are available on your other devices and so we can notify you when one of them changes.
Notifications and language
- If you allow notifications, we store the push token your device gets from Firebase Cloud Messaging. A push token identifies a device installation, not a person, and changes when the app is reinstalled.
- We store your five notification switches (admin announcements, gold, currency, petrol, watchlist) so the right messages are sent.
- We store your app language (English or Burmese) for one reason only: push messages are written on our server, so the server has to know which language to send. It is not used for anything else.
Subscription status
Pro subscriptions are sold through the App Store and Google Play and managed with RevenueCat. We store only the result: whether your plan is Free or Pro, when it expires, and the RevenueCat customer identifier, which is the same as your Firebase user ID.
We never receive your card number, bank details, or store account password. Apple and Google handle payment; we are told only that an entitlement is active.
Usage statistics
The app sends us a small set of usage events: the app was opened, a main screen was viewed, a conversion was performed in the Converter, and whether one of our own in-app promotional images was shown, tapped, or skipped.
These events are never stored one by one. Our server turns them straight into daily counters and a count of distinct users, grouped by the Myanmar calendar day, and then discards the working data. What remains is, for each day:
- how many people opened the app, split into registered users and guests, and how many launches there were in total;
- how many times each screen was viewed and roughly how many distinct people viewed it;
- how many times the Converter was used;
- how many times each of our own promotional images was shown, tapped, or skipped.
The distinct-user counts are produced by a statistical counting method that keeps an approximate total and not a list of users. The resulting rows contain no user identifier, so they cannot be traced back to you, filtered by you, or deleted for you individually. We do not build a behavioural profile, and we do not record which individual person opened which screen.
Ads filled by Google AdMob send us no events at all. That data stays in Google's own reporting.
Advertising
The free version of the app shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. Pro subscribers see no ads, and no consent form is shown to them.
- Before any ad is requested, the app runs Google's consent flow (Google User Messaging Platform). Where consent is legally required, such as in the EEA and the UK, you are asked there, and your choice is stored by Google's SDK on your device. Where that applies, Settings keeps an “Ad Privacy Options” row so you can reopen the form and change your mind.
- On iOS, after that, the system App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you say no, your device advertising identifier is not shared for that purpose.
- On Android the app declares the advertising ID permission, which is what Google requires for an ad-supported app.
Whatever AdMob collects to select and measure ads is handled by Google under Google's own privacy terms, not by us. We never receive it.
Technical information
Like any internet service, our servers see your IP address when the app makes a request. We use it to count requests per minute so that one device cannot overload the service. Those counters are held in memory for minutes at a time and are not written to our database. Our hosting and network providers keep their own standard request logs on their own schedules.
When something goes wrong on our side, the error is recorded in our error-tracking tool so we can fix it. Those records are about the failure, not about you.
What stays on your device
Some things are stored only on your phone, and are removed when you uninstall the app:
- your settings: appearance, language, price colour scheme, and the petrol region you last chose;
- the last prices, promotional images, and petrol regions we sent you, so the app still shows something useful when you are offline;
- which in-app notices you have dismissed;
- when an ad was last shown, so ads are not repeated too often;
- usage events waiting to be sent, if you were offline when they happened;
- your Firebase sign-in session, kept by the Firebase SDK so you stay signed in.
The amounts you type into the Converter never leave your device. The app downloads the exchange rates and does the arithmetic locally.
What we do not collect
- No location. The app never asks for it, and petrol regions are chosen by you from a list.
- No contacts, photos, files, camera, or microphone. The app requests none of these permissions.
- No passwords, card numbers, or bank details.
- No phone number, date of birth, gender, or address.
- No health, biometric, or precise identity data.
- No message, search, or browsing history.
Market prices themselves are public market information, not personal data. Your watchlist is personal, the prices in it are not.
Why we use it
- To run your account — signing you in, keeping your watchlist, remembering your settings.
- To send the notifications you asked for — price changes for the categories and watchlist items you chose, in your language, and occasional announcements from us.
- To give you what you paid for — recognising an active Pro subscription and unlocking the Pro features.
- To keep the service working and safe — rate limiting, abuse prevention, and fixing errors.
- To understand how the app is used in total — how many people use it, which screens matter, whether a feature is worth keeping. This is the aggregate counting described above.
- To show ads in the free version, which is what pays for the service, subject to your consent choices.
Who else processes it
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We use the following service providers, each for the single purpose named:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Messaging) — holds your sign-in credentials and delivers push notifications.
- Google AdMob and Google's consent platform — serves ads in the free version and records your consent choice.
- RevenueCat — tracks subscription entitlements on our behalf.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — sell and bill the subscription, and distribute the app.
- Railway — hosts our server, database, and cache.
- Cloudflare — delivers and caches our traffic and stores the images shown in the app.
- Vercel — hosts our internal admin panel.
- Expo — builds the app and delivers app updates.
- Sentry — records server errors.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the service and its users against fraud or abuse.
Where it is processed
These providers operate data centres in several countries, so your information is processed outside Myanmar. We use them on their standard terms for business customers.
How long we keep it
- Your account and watchlist — until you delete your account. Deletion is immediate and permanent; see Delete Account.
- Guest sessions — deleted automatically after about 30 days without use, along with the guest watchlist.
- Push token — replaced whenever your device issues a new one, and deleted with your account.
- Daily usage counters — kept indefinitely. They contain no identifier and cannot be linked back to a person, so there is nothing in them to delete.
- Working data behind those counters — expires automatically within about two days.
- Rate-limiting counters — expire within minutes.
- Subscription records — Apple, Google, and RevenueCat keep their own purchase records under their own policies. We cannot delete those.
- Provider request logs and error reports — kept on each provider's own schedule.
- Data on your device — until you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
Your choices
- Use the app without an account. Every price, chart range available to the free plan, and the Converter work as a guest.
- Turn notifications off — per category in Settings, or entirely in your device settings.
- Change your watchlist at any time in the app.
- Change your ad consent — Settings → Ad Privacy Options, where that option is required; and the iOS tracking choice in your device settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Remove ads entirely by subscribing to Pro.
- Change your password — Settings → Account → Change Password sends you a reset email.
- Delete your account — in the app, or by email. See Delete Account.
- Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or for a correction, by writing to the address below.
Children
MMP is a financial information app for a general adult audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
How we protect it
- All traffic between the app and our server uses HTTPS.
- Every request is authenticated with a Firebase sign-in token, verified on our server on every call.
- We hold no passwords and no payment data, so neither can be taken from us.
- Pro features and watchlist sync require a verified email address.
- Access to our admin panel is restricted to named administrators.
No service can promise perfect security, but we keep the amount of personal data we hold deliberately small.
This website
This website is plain HTML and one stylesheet. It sets no cookies, loads no scripts, embeds no third-party fonts, images, or trackers, and runs no analytics. That is why you see no cookie or consent banner here — there is nothing to consent to. Our hosting provider records standard request logs, including IP addresses, to serve and protect the site.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the app collects, we will update this page and the date at the top. The app links to this page from Settings, from the registration screen, and from the subscription screen, so the current version is always one tap away.
